Bethesda's exclusive partnership with AMD left Nvidia owners out in the cold. Fortunately, the DLSS Starfield mod aims to rectify that.

There’s already a DLSS Starfield mod for Nvidia GPUs

We’re barely more than a day into the game’s early access period, but we already have a DLSS Starfield mod for Nvidia graphics cards. Within hours of its release, Starfield Upscaler has become one of the most downloaded Starfield mods around, which is perhaps unsurprising given the controversy surrounding the Starfield’s exclusive partnership with AMD.

Bethesda’s partnership with AMD means that the PC version of Starfield only supports FSR2, AMD’s upscaling technology. That’s great news if you own an AMD card, but Nvidia users have been left in the cold.

Now, thanks to the work of modder PureDark, there’s a solution for owners of Nvidia RTX and Intel Arc GPUs. ‘Starfield Upscaler – Replacing FSR2 with DLSS or XeSS’ does exactly what it says on the label, and it’s available to download now. If your PC is equipped with an Nvidia GeForce card, the mod is practically a no-brainer.

If you’re planning to play Bethesda’s latest on PC, be sure to check your spec against the Starfield system requirements and to make sure you’ve got the best Starfield settings to optimize performance as you play.
