Starfield Lasers skill overview

The Starfield Lasers skill is a tier 1 skill in the Combat skill tree. It, as with all Starfield skills, has 4 ranks, beginning at rank 1 and ending at rank 4. In order to progress up the Lasers skill tree, you will need to complete various skill challenges related to the skill in question, and increase your Starfield level to earn skill points. Each rank requires a skill point to unlock.

The Lasers skill increases damage from lasers, with the final rank giving a lasers a chance to ignite enemies.

Lasers are a common form of weapon in Starfield and this skill will enhance their effectiveness, giving you an advantage in combat.

In-game Lasers skill description

Personal laser weapons are in widespread use across the Settled Systems, and specialized training can greatly increase their effectiveness.

The Lasers skill has the following ranks and stats:

1		Laser weapons do 10% more damage.	Kill 20 enemies with a laser weapon.
2		Laser weapons do 20% more damage.	Kill 50 enemies with a laser weapon.
3		Laser weapons do 30% more damage.	Kill 100 enemies with a laser weapon.
4		Laser weapons have a 5% chance to set a target on fire.	You have mastered this skill.

How to unlock Lasers console command

If you want to add the Lasers Starfield skill to your character without increasing your Starfield level or expending a skill point, simply open the Starfield console command window with the apostrophe (‘) or tilde (~) key and enter the following command:

player.addperk 002C59DD

By repeating the player.addperk 002C59DD command, you can bypass the Lasers rank-up challenge and unlock the next rank. Entering the above command four times will unlock the rank 4 Lasers skill.

To remove the Lasers skill, you can use the following command:

player.removeperk 002C59DD
