Starfield Payloads skill overview

The Starfield Payloads skill is a tier 2 skill in the Tech skill tree. It, as with all Starfield skills, has 4 ranks, beginning at rank 1 and ending at rank 4. In order to progress up the Payloads skill tree, you will need to complete various skill challenges related to the skill in question, and increase your Starfield level to earn skill points. Each rank requires a skill point to unlock.

The Payloads skill increases the capacity of your ship’s cargo hold, as you rank up this skill your cargo hold will increase dramatically.

This skill is a great idea to invest in if you often have a full cargo hold.

In-game Payloads skill description

Any pilot can haul cargo, but it takes a special determination and training to maximize cargo space.

The Payloads skill has the following ranks and stats:

1		Ship cargo holds have 10% more capacity.	Make 10 grav jumps with 75% or more of maximum cargo capacity.
2		Ship cargo holds have 20% more capacity.	Make 25 grav jumps with 75% or more of maximum cargo capacity.
3		Ship cargo holds have 30% more capacity.	Make 50 grav jumps with 75% or more of maximum cargo capacity.
4		Ship cargo holds have 50% more capacity.	You have mastered this skill.

How to unlock Payloads console command

If you want to add the Payloads Starfield skill to your character without increasing your Starfield level or expending a skill point, simply open the Starfield console command window with the apostrophe (‘) or tilde (~) key and enter the following command:

player.addperk 00143B6B

By repeating the player.addperk 00143B6B command, you can bypass the Payloads rank-up challenge and unlock the next rank. Entering the above command four times will unlock the rank 4 Payloads skill.

To remove the Payloads skill, you can use the following command:

player.removeperk 00143B6B
