Starfield Decontamination skill overview
The Starfield Decontamination skill is a tier 3 skill in the Physical skill tree. It, as with all Starfield skills, has 4 ranks, beginning at rank 1 and ending at rank 4. In order to progress up the Decontamination skill tree, you will need to complete various skill challenges related to the skill in question, and increase your Starfield level to earn skill points. Each rank requires a skill point to unlock.
This skill increases your chance of recovering from infections. The final rank of this skill gives you a chance to not get an infection when you otherwise would have. Decontamination is a useful skill to have if you ever find yourself lacking the necessary medical items to treat any infections yourself as you may recover naturally.
In-game Decontamination skill description
Through a deliberate regiment of conditioning and antibody therapy, one may effectively combat even the Settled Systems’ unseen threats.
The Decontamination skill has the following ranks and stats:

Slightly increased chance to recover from infections naturally. Recover from 5 infections. 2 
Moderately increased chance to recover from infections naturally. Recover from 15 infections. 3 
Noticeably increased chance to recover from infections naturally. Recover from 30 infections. 4 
20% chance of not gaining an infection when you otherwise would. You have mastered this skill.
How to unlock Decontamination console command
If you want to add the Decontamination Starfield skill to your character without increasing your Starfield level or expending a skill point, simply open the Starfield console command window with the apostrophe (‘) or tilde (~) key and enter the following command:
player.addperk 002CE2A0
By repeating the player.addperk 002CE2A0 command, you can bypass the Decontamination rank-up challenge and unlock the next rank. Entering the above command four times will unlock the rank 4 Decontamination skill.
To remove the Decontamination skill, you can use the following command:
player.removeperk 002CE2A0
