Starfield EM Weapon Systems skill overview
The Starfield EM Weapon Systems skill is a tier 4 skill in the Tech skill tree. It, as with all Starfield skills, has 4 ranks, beginning at rank 1 and ending at rank 4. In order to progress up the EM Weapon Systems skill tree, you will need to complete various skill challenges related to the skill in question, and increase your Starfield level to earn skill points. Each rank requires a skill point to unlock.
This skill allows you to deal more damage to enemy ships with EM weapons while also reducing targeting costs, as you rank up this skill you will be able to recharge your EM weapons faster while also increasing your potential to deal more damage. Upon mastering this skill your ship EM weapons have a chance to disable enemy engines If you make frequent use of EM ship weapons this skill will provide a considerable boost to your ship’s damage output.
In-game EM Weapon Systems skill description
In the hands of a capable pilot, no weapons can disable an enemy ship faster than those that deliver electromagnetic damage.
The EM Weapon Systems skill has the following ranks and stats:

EM ship weapons have 10% increased damage and cost 15% less to use in Targeting Mode. Deal 1000 damage to enemy ships with EM weapons. 2 
EM ship weapons have 20% increased damage and cost 30% less to use in Targeting Mode. Deal 4000 damage to enemy ships with EM weapons. 3 
EM ship weapons have 30% increased damage and cost 45% less to use in Targeting Mode. Deal 10000 damage to enemy ships with EM weapons. 4 
EM ship weapons have a small chance of instantly disabling enemy engines. You have mastered this skill.
How to unlock EM Weapon Systems console command
If you want to add the EM Weapon Systems Starfield skill to your character without increasing your Starfield level or expending a skill point, simply open the Starfield console command window with the apostrophe (‘) or tilde (~) key and enter the following command:
player.addperk 002C53B2
By repeating the player.addperk 002C53B2 command, you can bypass the EM Weapon Systems rank-up challenge and unlock the next rank. Entering the above command four times will unlock the rank 4 EM Weapon Systems skill.
To remove the EM Weapon Systems skill, you can use the following command:
player.removeperk 002C53B2
