Starfield Armor Penetration skill overview

The Starfield Armor Penetration skill is a tier 4 skill in the Combat skill tree. It, as with all Starfield skills, has 4 ranks, beginning at rank 1 and ending at rank 4. In order to progress up the Armor Penetration skill tree, you will need to complete various skill challenges related to the skill in question, and increase your Starfield level to earn skill points. Each rank requires a skill point to unlock.

The Armor Penetration skill allows your attacks to ignore a certain percentage of enemy armour. As you rank up this skill your attacks will be able to ignore more enemy armor. The final rank will decrease enemy armor after a critical hit.

This skill will aid you in dealing with toughly armored enemies and will definitely prove useful in the late stages of the game.

In-game Armor Penetration skill description

By identifying gaps or weak points in body armor, an attacker can often gain a tactical advantage in combat.

The Armor Penetration skill has the following ranks and stats:

1		Attacks ignore 15% of a target's armor.	Kill 20 enemies with a non-automatic weapon.
2		Attacks ignore 30% of a target's armor.	Kill 50 enemies with a non-automatic weapon.
3		Attacks ignore 50% of a target's armor.	Kill 100 enemies with a non-automatic weapon.
4		Enemy armor is decreased by 25% for 6 seconds after a critical hit.	You have mastered this skill.

How to unlock Armor Penetration console command

If you want to add the Armor Penetration Starfield skill to your character without increasing your Starfield level or expending a skill point, simply open the Starfield console command window with the apostrophe (‘) or tilde (~) key and enter the following command:

player.addperk 0027DF94

By repeating the player.addperk 0027DF94 command, you can bypass the Armor Penetration rank-up challenge and unlock the next rank. Entering the above command four times will unlock the rank 4 Armor Penetration skill.

To remove the Armor Penetration skill, you can use the following command:

player.removeperk 0027DF94
