Mech Components overview

The Starfield Mech Components is one of many Starfield items found in the Settled Systems. Classed as Contraband, a single Mech Components has a mass of 3.8 and a credit value of 12290.

Be careful when picking up or carrying Mech Components as it is classified as Contraband. Starfield contraband items are illegal by nature and will be flagged by system scans should you enter a monitored system like Alpha Centauri, Cheyenne, Sol, or Volii.

In order to sell contraband, you’ll need to locate a Trade Authority hub with an NPC – you cannot sell contraband to a Trade Authority terminal.

You can find these hubs in most major cities, but you’ll need to carry the contraband in a shielded cargo hold if you intend to smuggle any Mech Components.

Alternatively, join up with the Crimson Fleet, head over to The Key, and sell it there. Pirates don’t care if you’re carrying contraband!
