Starfield Automated Weapon Systems skill overview
The Starfield Automated Weapon Systems skill is a tier 4 skill in the Tech skill tree. It, as with all Starfield skills, has 4 ranks, beginning at rank 1 and ending at rank 4. In order to progress up the Automated Weapon Systems skill tree, you will need to complete various skill challenges related to the skill in question, and increase your Starfield level to earn skill points. Each rank requires a skill point to unlock.
The Automated Weapon Systems skill gives a buff to automated ship weapons in a variety of ways such as increasing damage, reducing the cost of targeting mode and reducing damage taken while in targeting mode.
Ranking up this skill will allow you to deal damage to enemy ships while you can concentrate fully on flying or just deal damage faster.

Automated ship weapons do 20% more damage and reduce all targeting mode costs by 30%. Your ship takes 20% less damage while in targeting mode. Deal 4000 damage to enemy ships with automated turret weapons. 3 
Automated ship weapons do 30% more damage and reduce all targeting mode costs by 40%. Increases crit chance against targeted sub-systems by 20%. Deal 10000 damage to enemy ships with automated turret weapons. 4 
Ship turret weapons recharge 40% faster and do 20% more damage to targeted sub-systems. You have mastered this skill.
How to unlock Automated Weapon Systems console command
If you want to add the Automated Weapon Systems Starfield skill to your character without increasing your Starfield level or expending a skill point, simply open the Starfield console command window with the apostrophe (‘) or tilde (~) key and enter the following command:
player.addperk 0027B9ED
By repeating the player.addperk 0027B9ED command, you can bypass the Automated Weapon Systems rank-up challenge and unlock the next rank. Entering the above command four times will unlock the rank 4 Automated Weapon Systems skill.
To remove the Automated Weapon Systems skill, you can use the following command:
player.removeperk 0027B9ED
