Starfield Ballistics skill overview

The Starfield Ballistics skill is a tier 1 skill in the Combat skill tree. It, as with all Starfield skills, has 4 ranks, beginning at rank 1 and ending at rank 4. In order to progress up the Ballistics skill tree, you will need to complete various skill challenges related to the skill in question, and increase your Starfield level to earn skill points. Each rank requires a skill point to unlock.

The Ballistics skill increases the damage dealt by all ballistics weapons, with the final rank increasing ballistic weapon range.

This skill will be well suited for you if you prefer engaging enemies with traditional ballistic weapons as it provides a considerably boost to your damage once you have mastered this skill.

In-game Ballistics skill description

Centuries of conflict have proven that when it comes to threat elimination, few things stack up to the reliable power of combustion.

The Ballistics skill has the following ranks and stats:

1		Ballistic weapons do 10% more damage.	Kill 20 enemies with a ballistic weapon.
2		Ballistic weapons do 20% more damage.	Kill 50 enemies with a ballistic weapon.
3		Ballistic weapons do 30% more damage.	Kill 100 enemies with a ballistic weapon.
4		Ballistic weapons range is increased by 30%.	You have mastered this skill.

How to unlock Ballistics console command

If you want to add the Ballistics Starfield skill to your character without increasing your Starfield level or expending a skill point, simply open the Starfield console command window with the apostrophe (‘) or tilde (~) key and enter the following command:

player.addperk 002CFCAB

By repeating the player.addperk 002CFCAB command, you can bypass the Ballistics rank-up challenge and unlock the next rank. Entering the above command four times will unlock the rank 4 Ballistics skill.

To remove the Ballistics skill, you can use the following command:

player.removeperk 002CFCAB
