Starfield Energy Weapon Systems skill overview
The Starfield Energy Weapon Systems skill is a tier 2 skill in the Tech skill tree. It, as with all Starfield skills, has 4 ranks, beginning at rank 1 and ending at rank 4. In order to progress up the Energy Weapon Systems skill tree, you will need to complete various skill challenges related to the skill in question, and increase your Starfield level to earn skill points. Each rank requires a skill point to unlock.
This skill allows you to deal more damage to enemy ships with energy weapons while also reducing targeting costs, as you rank up this skill you will be able to recharge your energy weapons faster while also increasing your potential to deal more damage.
This skill would compliment any ship with an array of energy weapons as it will improve the effectiveness of your ship in combat.

In the 24th century, advancements in energy weapons technology have revolutionized combat, as much in space as on the ground.
The Energy Weapon Systems skill has the following ranks and stats:

Energy ship weapons have 10% increased damage and cost 15% less to use in Targeting Mode. Deal 1000 damage to enemy ships with Energy weapons. 2 
Energy ship weapons have 20% increased damage and cost 30% less to use in Targeting Mode. Deal 4000 damage to enemy ships with Energy weapons. 3 
Energy ship weapons have 30% increased damage and cost 45% less to use in Targeting Mode Deal 10000 damage to enemy ships with Energy weapons. 4 
Energy ship weapons recharge 30% faster. You have mastered this skill.
How to unlock Energy Weapon Systems console command
If you want to add the Energy Weapon Systems Starfield skill to your character without increasing your Starfield level or expending a skill point, simply open the Starfield console command window with the apostrophe (‘) or tilde (~) key and enter the following command:
player.addperk 002C59DB
By repeating the player.addperk 002C59DB command, you can bypass the Energy Weapon Systems rank-up challenge and unlock the next rank. Entering the above command four times will unlock the rank 4 Energy Weapon Systems skill.
To remove the Energy Weapon Systems skill, you can use the following command:
player.removeperk 002C59DB
