As if heavy weaponry couldn’t get any deadlier, you can take the Heavy Weapons Certification skill to bump up the damage of your heavy ordinance, and make yourself harder to kill at the highest rank.

Starfield Heavy Weapons Certification skill overview
The Starfield Heavy Weapons Certification skill is a tier 2 skill in the Combat skill tree. It, as with all Starfield skills, has 4 ranks, beginning at rank 1 and ending at rank 4. In order to progress up the Heavy Weapons Certification skill tree, you will need to complete various skill challenges related to the skill in question, and increase your Starfield level to earn skill points. Each rank requires a skill point to unlock.
This skill increases the damage from heavy weapons, the amount increasing as you rank up this skill. Upon mastering this skill you will gain a buff to physical resistance when aiming down the sights of a heavy weapon. This skill is perfect for you if you often find yourself wielding heavy weapons in combat.
In-game Heavy Weapons Certification skill description
Oversized weapons may prove cumbersome to wield, but their excessive damage output can’t be ignored, especially in the hands of a trained combatant.
The Heavy Weapons Certification skill has the following ranks and stats:

Heavy weapons do 10% more damage. Kill 20 enemies with a heavy weapon. 2 
Heavy weapons do 20% more damage. Kill 50 enemies with a heavy weapon. 3 
Heavy weapons do 30% more damage. Kill 100 enemies with a heavy weapon. 4 
Gain 25% Physical resistance while aiming down sights with a heavy weapon. You have mastered this skill.
How to unlock Heavy Weapons Certification console command
If you want to add the Heavy Weapons Certification Starfield skill to your character without increasing your Starfield level or expending a skill point, simply open the Starfield console command window with the apostrophe (‘) or tilde (~) key and enter the following command:
player.addperk 00147E38
By repeating the player.addperk 00147E38 command, you can bypass the Heavy Weapons Certification rank-up challenge and unlock the next rank. Entering the above command four times will unlock the rank 4 Heavy Weapons Certification skill.
To remove the Heavy Weapons Certification skill, you can use the following command:
player.removeperk 00147E38
