Starfield Planetary Habitation skill overview

The Starfield Planetary Habitation skill is a tier 4 skill in the Science skill tree. It, as with all Starfield skills, has 4 ranks, beginning at rank 1 and ending at rank 4. In order to progress up the Planetary Habitation skill tree, you will need to complete various skill challenges related to the skill in question, and increase your Starfield level to earn skill points. Each rank requires a skill point to unlock.

The Planetary Habitation skill allows you to construct outposts with extreme temperatures, and as you rank up this skill you will unlock the ability to construct outposts on planets with extreme pressure, toxic and corrosive environments and extreme gravity

Building outposts is a great way to gain resources, and with this skill you can build outposts on a wide range of planets to generate more resources.

In-game Planetary Habitation skill description

While outpost building is always challenging, doing so on a world with a dangerous environment requires specialized training.

The Planetary Habitation skill has the following ranks and stats:

1		You can build outposts on planets with extreme temperatures (Deep Freeze and Inferno). Increase the maximum number of Outposts you can build by 4.	Build 3 habitable outposts on 3 different planets.
2		You can build outposts on planets with extreme pressure. Increase the maximum number of Outposts you can build by 8.	Build habitable outposts on 5 different planets.
3		You can build outposts on planets with toxic or corrosive atmospheres. Increase the maximum number of Outposts you can build by 12.	Build habitable outposts on 10 different planets.
4		You can build outposts on planets with extreme gravity. Increase the maximum number of Outposts you can build by 16.	You have mastered this skill.

How to unlock Planetary Habitation console command

If you want to add the Planetary Habitation Starfield skill to your character without increasing your Starfield level or expending a skill point, simply open the Starfield console command window with the apostrophe (‘) or tilde (~) key and enter the following command:

player.addperk 0027CBC2

By repeating the player.addperk 0027CBC2 command, you can bypass the Planetary Habitation rank-up challenge and unlock the next rank. Entering the above command four times will unlock the rank 4 Planetary Habitation skill.

To remove the Planetary Habitation skill, you can use the following command:

player.removeperk 0027CBC2
