Xbox exclusives are officially coming to Switch and PS5
Starfield remains an Xbox exclusive for now, but Microsoft boss stops short of ruling out Starfield PS5 in the future.
Microsoft have confirmed that Xbox exclusives are coming to PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, but singled out Starfield PS5 as a title that would not be in its first wave of multiplatform releases.
The company will initially bring four Xbox games to other consoles. While those titles have not yet been named, Xbox boss Phil Spencer confirmed that the list does not include Starfield or the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
Tech news site The Verge reports that the four titles are Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, Sea of Thieves, and Grounded.
The announcement follows more than a week of mounting Starfield PS5 rumors and speculation around Xbox’s multiplatform plans. While Spencer did confirm that Starfield was not one of the four games mooted for a multiplatform release, he said nothing that would rule it out as possible candidate for a future wave of releases.
In other words, the question remains: will Starfield get a PS5 release? Have your say in our Starfield forums, where you can cast your vote in our ongoing poll, or read up on the history of Starfield PS5 in our guide.
