The Chemistry skill grants you access to powerful chemical recipes that can grant massive stat bonuses, and allows you access to even more advanced materials and drugs.
Starfield Chemistry skill overview
The Starfield Chemistry skill is a tier 3 skill in the Science skill tree. It, as with all Starfield skills, has 4 ranks, beginning at rank 1 and ending at rank 4. In order to progress up the Chemistry skill tree, you will need to complete various skill challenges related to the skill in question, and increase your Starfield level to earn skill points. Each rank requires a skill point to unlock.
The Chemistry skill lets you create improved chems and research additional ones at a Research Lab. As this skill is ranked you will be able to create more advanced chems. The final rank will have a chance of creating triple the amount of chems when crafting. Chems can have many different usages and effects such as healing, increasing damage or even slowing down time. If you wish to gain access to a variety of effects and stat bonuses this skill will be extremely useful as it will allow you to craft a wide variety of chems for many different applications.
In-game Chemistry skill description
When crafted by the skilled and safety conscious, chems can be used to enhance health and performance across the Settled Systems.
The Chemistry skill has the following ranks and stats:

You can create improved chems, and research additional chems at a Research Lab. Create 10 chems. 2 
You can research and create superior chems. Create 25 chems. 3 
You can research and create cutting-edge chems. Create 50 chems. 4 
Crafting chems occasionally triples the amount created. You have mastered this skill.
How to unlock Chemistry console command
If you want to add the Chemistry Starfield skill to your character without increasing your Starfield level or expending a skill point, simply open the Starfield console command window with the apostrophe (‘) or tilde (~) key and enter the following command:
player.addperk 002CE2C0
By repeating the player.addperk 002CE2C0 command, you can bypass the Chemistry rank-up challenge and unlock the next rank. Entering the above command four times will unlock the rank 4 Chemistry skill.
To remove the Chemistry skill, you can use the following command:
player.removeperk 002CE2C0
