Caelumite overview

Starfield Caelumite is a Starfield resource which can be used in a number of crafting recipes. Caelumite is classed as Inorganic. The rarity of the resource determines how difficult it is to find Caelumite, and also affects the overall credit value of the resource when you are looking to buy or sell stockpiles of Caelumite.

Resources like Caelumite can be found in a number of locations and planets throughout Starfield. However, the fastest method to gather resources is to bulk purchase them from a Starfield resource vendor like Midtown Minerals or the Mining League.

Appearing around the sites of Artifacts, Caelumite is a mysterious Starfield resource. Caelumite appears to possess unusual qualities consistent with the Artifacts, Temples, and the Starfield powers you can receive.

Where to find Ct – Caelumite

Unlike other Starfield resourcesCaelumite cannot be found randomly on planets, or in shop inventories. Instead, it appears at natural Artifact locations. Thus, it is advised that you ensure you mine all of the available Caelumite as you find it.

The following locations have confirmed Caelumite deposits:

Caelumite is closely associated with Starfield Artifacts, and that’s the main way you’re going to find and collect the resource. Every time you find an Artifact in the wild – by this, we mean find an Artifact that you don’t receive from an NPC like in the High Price to Pay quest – you will discover that the Artifact is surrounded by Caelumite. Because of this, it’s worth sticking around after you pick up an Artifact to scan the surrounding cave for any Caelumite resource nodes.

You can also randomly find Caelumite at Gravitational Anomalies littered throughout the wider Settled Systems. Unfortunately, due to the procedural generation in Starfield, we can’t tell you where exactly to go as it’s different for each player. However, it’s worth heading out to unknown landmarks on any planet you land on, as there may well be some Caelumite there.

It’s also worth pointing out that the Elemental Pull power is incredibly useful when mining for Caelumite as it saves you time having to use the Cutter and searching through the corners of every cave to find the resource. This might not come into play before your first New Game Plus run, due to powers arriving late in the game, often after you’ve found a bulk of the Artifacts and manually collected plenty of Caelumite yourself, but it’s a helpful tool.

How to use Starfield Caelumite

Caelumite is mostly used as a crafting material in late-game armor mods for which you’ll need to rank up the Spacesuit Design skill. These mods are mostly useful for Starfield stealth builds with the Gravitic Composites mod.

Otherwise, Caelumite doesn’t have a lot of utility beyond its high Credits value. This could well change as new Starfield DLC is released.
