Lead is a heavy metal resource that is essential as a base building material. However, it is also an extremely heavy resource, so extraction and transportation of this resource will be critical to creating a large outpost.
Despite being incredibly toxic when consumed, lead’s biggest usage is in anti-radiation materials and barriers. It is likely this factor which makes it a suitable building material, particularly on planets with no atmosphere or magnetosphere to protect you from the nearby star’s radiation.
