Starfield controllers are hitting stores, even though they haven’t been announced yet
Following the leak of Starfield Xbox controller footage, additional images have all but confirmed the sleek controller will be available in the near future.
They may not have been announced yet, but Starfield controllers appear to be arriving on retail store shelves already. Just days after the last set of leaks, yet more images and videos are appearing online showing official Xbox controllers with glorious Starfield branding.
Redditor Krunkburrito revealed that the controllers “just got shipped in. It isn’t available for purchase yet.”
As a result, we now have images of the Xbox-branded packaging hitting their retail store.
Fortunately for Redditors and Starfield fans alike, Krunkburrito unboxed one of the controllers, demonstrating the numerous design features the controller will have.
The initial unboxing demonstrates the controller’s sleek design. The Starfield controller has labeled all of its buttons with the specific in-game function.
Here we can see the back of the Starfield controller featuring the Constellation logo.
It would appear that the Starfield controller will have transparent LT and RT triggers.
These aren’t the first images of a Starfield controller to appear online, with the first image to surface in April 2023. The April 2023 Imgur post contained close-up details of an Xbox controller with Starfield themes and designs. However, in the absence of an official announcement by Bethesda or Xbox, there was much debate over its authenticity.
With subsequent images and footage showing the controller in greater detail than before, it seems the Starfield controller posted by Krunkburrito is all but confirmed.
Speculation suggests that Bethesda will finally make the announcement of a Starfield controller official at Starfield Direct, June 11, 2023.
