Tanto overview
The Starfield Tanto is a Melee Weapon found in the Settled Systems. Manufactured by an unknown entity, the Tanto Starfield weapon has a credit value of 3075, and a mass of 0.45.

The Tanto deals 50 Physical damage per hit.
As a weapon which specializes in Physical damage, the Tanto is boosted by the Dueling skill.
As a Melee weapon, the Tanto can be used to stun enemies with a flurry of close-range attacks. This is particularly useful for enemies with heavy weapons, especially if you can interupt the enemy’s reloading animation.
However, bear in mind that using a melee weapon as your main source of damage can put you at a disadvantage in a major firefight if you haven’t packed enough healing consumables. Stock up on medicine that boosts your damage resistance to further improve your effectiveness with the Tanto.
Currently, it is not possible to equip Starfield weapon mods to melee weapons, but this could change in the future with Starfield DLC or Starfield mods.
Where to find Tanto
Bear in mind that base and upgraded versions of any weapon are scaled to your Starfield level, with many weapons not spawning unless you have reached a specific level. So, if you visit any of the below and can’t find the Tanto, check back later once you’re a higher level.
