The Magpulse rifle was first seen during the Starfield Direct showcase of June 2023. It is an electromagnetic railgun which deals 71 points of damage with each shot, making it a very deadly weapon no matter the circumstances.

The Magpulse projects 25 targeting lasers, one for each of its barrels, making it very clear what is about to be turned into paste when you pull the trigger.

Bethesda’s Lead Weapon Artist, Dane Olds, expressed that the Magpulse is among his favorite weapons during a Bethesda interview.
