The Grendel is a bullpup SMG that looks like a cross between a P90 and AUG. It fires 7.77mm caseless rounds and has a magazine size of 50 rounds. Manufactured by Combatech, it’s described as a lightweight personal defense weapon or PDW.
The Grendel retains a high rate of fire and is suitable for mid-range combat, particularly in crowded areas where a lower recoil will be advantageous against enemies in cover.
This SMG comes with an advanced iron sights option, but could prove capable at range if equipped with a scope.
Like its Beowulf counterpart, the Grendel appears to be named after the monster of the same name from the Old English poem “Beowulf”.

Where to find Grendel
You can find base and upgraded versions of the Grendel randomly in a number of containers, as loot from defeated enemies, and in several NPC inventories.
