Razorleaf overview

The Starfield Razorleaf is a prefabricated and free Starfield ship that you can find very early on in Starfield if you chase the Mantis quest. By infiltrating The Lair of the Mantis, you will get not just a unique armor set, but you will also add the Razorleaf to your fleet of spaceships.

The Razorleaf has a starting mass of 572, and a credit value of 124100. By default, the Razorleaf starts out with an impressive set of ship weapons, and even includes a few pieces of free armor in its cargo hold.

Once the Razorleaf is in your possession, you can register it, and take it to a Ship Services Technician and customize it with whatever Starfield ship components take your fancy.

Razorleaf stats

A ship’s hull determines how much damage it can take before it is destroyed. The Razorleaf has a hull of 469, and can be viewed as a white bar in the bottom-right corner of your screen when flying your ship in space.

You can use Ship Parts to repair your hull inside and outside of combat, but you may want to install a better shield generator to give yourself additional breathing space.

The Razorleaf has the following stats:

Ship class: A

Reactor power: 19

Crew capacity: 2

Gravity jump distance:  16 LY

Shield: 468

Laser weapon strength: 6

Ballistic weapon strength: This ship does not come with ballistic weapons.

Missile weapon strength: 36

Particle beam weapon strength: 16

Electromagnetic weapon strength: This ship does not come with electromagnetic weapons.

One of the most important ship stats you’ll want to keep an eye on is the cargo capacity. The larger a ship’s cargo capacity, the more you can store aboard it. This is critical for building outpost components, completing Starfield research projects, and crafting weapon mods and armor mods.

The Razorleaf already comes with a cargo capacity of 420. However, you can expand on this by installing additional ship components. You can find the Razorleaf at the following locations:

While Starfield’s Razorleaf is an easy improvement on the Frontier, you can still make some upgrades to turn it into an ever better-equipped space vessel. For a start, you need to improve the grav drive range to complete the Final Glimpses quest on the main quest line, which requires at least one upgrade to the Razorleaf’s base engines. You can do this by visiting a ship technician, available at spaceports in populated cities. If you’re struggling to find a spaceport, check out our Starfied map hub, including links to interactive versions of the New Atlantis Map, Cydonia map, and Neon map.

It’s also a good idea to look at cargo space when debating new Razorleaf upgrades. While 420 is a pretty generous cargo capacity, you can always do with more space for resources and aid items. Our Starfield ship components guide has all you need to know about making changes like to this to your ship without sacrificing any of the firepower or engine speed, so check it out if you want to expand on the utility of the Razorleaf.

If you want to get the Razorleaf for free and without hunting it down, your best bet is to use a Starfield console command to spawn the ship you nearby.

To get the Razorleaf for free, open the console command window and input the following command:

player.placeatme 0002CC6C

This will spawn the ship nearby. However, because of the size of most Starfield ships, there is a strong likelihood this will spawn the entrance to the ship beneath terrain. As a result, use the tcl command to turn clipping off, and allow yourself to fly to the ship’s entrance. If you open the door from the inside, you’ll be able to board and commandeer the newly spawned Razorleaf. If the door is locked, use the unlock command on the door to bypass the lock.
