Starfield’s NASA artifacts tell the story of the origin of space flight in the Settled Systems before the Earth was left behind and the finding of new worlds in Jemison, Akila, and more. Still, while the real-life space exploration group might not be as prevalent in the far-flung science-fiction future, there is plenty you can learn from NASA locations to glean a little light on the secrets of space travel and how Grav Drive technology came to light.
Where are the Starfield NASA locations?
While we’re still finding all the evidence of NASA in the Starfield universe, we have located a few Locations where you can find out more about NASA’s role in the overarching story. These locations also happen to be some of the places you can find Starfield Snow Globes, many of which point to historical moments in NASA’s early foray into space exploration.
- Earth – Unsurprisingly, much of the Starfield NASA remnants are found on the dilapidated Earth, including the NASA Launch Facility.
- Luna – Earth’s moon also has evidence of NASA’s work, including the Apollo 11 Moon Landing site.
Can I join NASA in Starfield?
Unfortunately, while you can find remnants in the form of certain locations in the Sol system and Starfield Snow Globes, you can’t join NASA in Starfield.

The NASA faction is a Minor faction that you can encounter in Starfield.
Starfield factions can provide unique Starfield armor, Starfield weapons, and even faction-specific missions at various points during your playthrough. Each group possesses its own unique idealogy and doctrine, along with a unique range of NPCs and enemies (should you get on their bad side). Should you wrong a faction you’re friendly with, you’ll accrue a bounty, which you’ll need to clear at a Tracker’s Alliance bounty board, or face bounty hunters, a jail cell, or unrelenting hostility.
