A Break at Dawn walkthrough

A fight recently broke out in New Atlantis, resulting in the theft of an engagement ring. Sergeant Yumi wants the ring back, and it will take a little bit of detective work to find out what happened to the ring.

First, you’ll need to speak with Royce Elgin, the bartender of the Dawn’s Roost, to gather some clues as to who stole the ring. From there, you will find the current owner of the ring, one Hugo Fournier, hiding in the nearby Athena Tower. Fournier will protest that they did not in fact steal the ring, but rather it was gifted to them.

At this point, you have a choice: let Fournier keep the ring, or persuade Fournier to hand the ring over to you. You could of course sell the ring rather than hand it over to Sergeant Yumi (though the ring’s value is likely less than the Credits reward you would get from Yumi if your character is a high enough level).

Regardless of your choice, you will need to report your decision back to Sergeant Yumi to complete the quest.

A Break at Dawn mission console commands

If you just want to start the A Break at Dawn mission, all you need to do is enter the following Starfield console command to begin:

startquest 00091CF5

Be warned that attempting to start a quest that requires specific triggers or hidden markers can result in game instability, so it is recommended you save your game before trying any commands. If however you are encountering a Starfield bug that prevents the mission from advancing, you might want to try the following:

resetquest 00091CF5

The above command will completely reset a quest (make sure you save your game beforehand in case it causes a crash to desktop). It also has the potential to prevent that quest from ever completing, meaning you’ll need to use the completequest 00091CF5 command to progress.
