Starfield side quests

As you journey through the Settled Systems, you'll encounter a few Starfield side quests and missions that take you off the beaten track.

Starfield side quests

Starfield wouldn’t be a Bethesda title if it wasn’t loaded with Starfield side quests. Side missions give you the chance to explore numerous Starfield faction storylines, earn unique rewards and weapons, or offer a way to boost your Starfield level so you can unlock more Starfield skills. As a result, we have gathered all of Starfield’s known side missions and categorized them.

Once the game releases, we will be back to provide a comprehensive guide to all of them.

What Starfield side quests are there?

At present, we know the names of a few Starfield missions and, bar one, we can’t be certain if they are part of the Starfield main quest, or if they are side missions.

The confirmed Starfield missions are:

  • The Best There Is
  • The Old Neighborhood
  • Failure to Communicate
  • Friends Like These
  • Further Into the Unknown

Once we know which of the above are and aren’t side quests for certain, we will be back to update this guide.

We do theorize, however, that an unnamed side quest can be collected from the Red Mile, a location which appears to be perfect for Starfield runners and racers.

How many Starfield side missions are there?

With more hand-crafting than any other game in Bethesda’s history, we are expecting there to be hundreds of Starfield side quests. We already know the name of a few Starfield missions, but it’s unclear which ones are and aren’t critical to the main questline.

Where do I find Starfield side missions?

Side missions can be found from numerous NPCs scattered throughout the Settled Systems. There is also the chance that the Starfield Mission Board will host a few side quests alongside radiant missions.

How long will it take to 100% Starfield?

Considering there’s over 1000 planets in Starfield alone, getting all of the Starfield achievements, completing all of the Starfield main quests and side quests could take as long as 100 to 120 hours or more. For completionists, this game is not for the faint of heart.
