Starfield Nvidia update finally addresses performance issues
There’s a new Starfield Nvidia update to fully support those with the hardware trying to boost the performance of Bethesda’s game on PC.
Good news, Nvidia users! There’s a new Starfield Nvidia update to optimize the game’s performance game on PCs using the company’s hardware. Specifically for devices that utilize the RTX 30 and RTX 40 GPUs, the new update means you don’t have to spend forever searching through our list of Starfield mods for something performance-enhancing, though it is still worth a look for all the exciting character mods.
In a blog post from Technical Marketing Content Editor Andrew Burnes, the company representative shared a bit more about what the update means. “Today, NVIDIA is releasing a Resizable BAR profile for Starfield which increases performance on GeForce RTX 40 Series and GeForce RTX 30 Series desktop and laptop GPUs. In our testing scenario, GeForce RTX 40 Series desktop GPUs see on average a 5% increase in performance.”
The update is rolling out across the world as I type this out, so you shouldn’t have to worry about manually updating or installing anything. Once you have the update ready to go, it’s just a simple click to optimize your PC for Starfield, making it that bit easier to push the game’s physics to the limit. We’re not saying you have to recreate those viral videos of mountains of sandwiches falling from the frontier, but there’s nothing else quite as amusing to get up to in New Atlantis.
This is already the second Nvidia-specific hardware update to deal with the demands of Starfield. Just a day after the Early Access release date, the company released a DLSS mod to enhance gameplay and performance. Considering Starfield’s exclusive deal with AMD, it’s no real surprise to see other hardware manufacturers try and play catch-up following the launch.
