Kid Stuff
Summary | You can visit your parents, but you pay for their upkeep. |
Kid Stuff overview
You can choose the Kid Stuff Starfield trait from 17 options during the Starfield character creation screen. Upon finalizing your character and leaving the character creator menu, you will no longer be able to pick up additional traits like Kid Stuff if you didn’t select it the first time around. You can get around this limitation by using a Starfield console command, but not without disabling Starfield achievements.
Fortunately, Starfield allows you to remove traits by speaking with trait-specific NPCs, so you can always remove the Kid Stuff trait if you find it counter-productive, or not as much fun as you thought.
Probably the best trait in the entire game, Starfield Kid Stuff spawns two NPCs that have a set of wholesome encounters sprinkled throughout New Atlantis, The Lodge, and even further abroad. You do have to pay for your parent’s upkeep with this trait, but the gifts your parents give you by far outweight any Credits you spend letting them live in New Atlantis. Make sure to say hello to Mom and Dad frequently. Your parents are alive and well, and you can visit them at their home. But 2% of all the money you earn is deducted automatically and sent to them. in-game description
